SHRI RADHESHYAM AND SHRI ROBINDRO FELICITATED

Imphal, 3rd April, 2017 (DIPR): Minister Education, Labour & Employment, Shri Th. Radheshyam Singh and Parliamentary Secretary of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, Shri K. Robindro Singh were felicitated at D.M. College of Arts, today. The felicitation function was organised by the Federation of Government College Teachers’ Associations, Manipur (FEGOCTA).

Speaking as Chief Guest, Minister Th. Radheshyam Singh said education is not just to get jobs, but a tool to become a constructive and productive citizen to make one and all live a meaningful life. He added education is to make one relevant all the time throughout and become a catalyst for a positive change of the society.

Addressing the problems of teachers, he stated there are many problems related with teachers and believe that the solutions to these problems lies with the teachers, for they are the most experienced ones who has been carving the society towards development with tools of sincerity, honesty, devotion and hard work, hence producing many great personalities. Thus, the problems will no longer prevail for we will work together to find the solution and solve the problems related to Education Department, he exclaimed.

Saying there is no better profession other than a teacher, he said infrastructure and good constructions are a must for education but making the best out of the available resources and working for the betterment in the limited resources will lead the society in a better and positive direction. Calling upon the teachers and students, he urged everyone, to come together to solve the problems and, give a better direction to the education system with a change towards positivity, which will be appreciated by one and all.

He further urged the teachers that to bring out the best, a little more efforts from the side of teachers with devotion and hard work is a must. Speaking on economy of the state he said everyone, especially the students should be encouraged to use indigenous products in schools, offices, or home to be able to retain the economy.

Speaking as a Guest of Honour, Shri K. Robindro Singh said Manipur is lacking behind others and hope that the government will try their best to uplift in every field.

The program was attended by Principal DM College of Arts, Acting President FEGOCTA and Principals from different colleges and students.
