Imphal ; July 25, 2017: The ongoing session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly-2017 today passed four demands along with the  introduction of three bills. The four demands amounting to a sum of Rs. 1270,13,79,000 were passed today on the floor of the house.

The four demands were: (1) Medical, Health and Family Welfare Services  amounting to Rs. 605, 80,68,000, (2) Labour & Employment of Rs. 54,20,91,000, (3) Department of Tribal Affairs & Hills with 504,48,35,000 and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary having Rs. 106,63,85,000. The four demands were moved by the Deputy Chief Minister Shri Y. Joykumar Singh, who is also the in-charge of Finance. During the discussion of the demands, several MLAs participated in the discussion of the demands raising the motion for disapproval of policy cut. Shri Kh. Joykisan Singh, K. Ranjit Singh, Th. Lokeshwar Singh, N. Loken Singh, D. Korungthang, D.D. Thaisii, R.K. Imo Singh, Md. Fajur Rahim, Km. A.K. Mirabai Devi, Surjakumar Okram and K. Meghachandra Singh moved for the disapproval of policy cut of the demands. However, all the four demands were passed after deliberate discussion on the floor of the house.

Later in the afternoon, three Bills namely (1) the Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, 2017, (2) the Manipur Private School (Registration and Regulation) Bill, 2017 and (3) the Manipur Coaching Institute (Control & Regulation) Bill, 2017 were also introduced during today’s session.
