MINISTER SHYAMKUMAR ASSURES HELP IN INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPEMENT FOR JIRIBAM

IMPHAL, AUGUST 14, 2017 (DIPR): Shri Thounaojam Shyamkumar, MAHUD and Town Planning Minister today assured the people of Jiribam to extend all possible help in the infrastructural development for the district. He was speaking as the Chief Guest of the function at the inaugural function of the community centre of Jiribam Municipal Council constructed under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JnNRUM) at Bapupara, Jiribam district. The function was organised by the Jiribam Municipal Council.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Shyamkumar suggested that, for the existing market to develop into a super market standard, the Jiribam market (keithel) should run all seven days instead of just two-days a week. Stating that the State Government will provide benefits to the people under various schemes, he said the dream of a super market will be possible once the Jiribam market starts functioning regularly. He also said the State Government under the leadership of Shri N. Biren Singh will wholeheartedly complete all the works which have been promised to the people.

MAHUD Minister also appealed to the people to properly maintain the newly inaugurated community centre completed in 2014. He also said he will look into the demands submitted by the Jiribam Municipal Council and try to fulfil all the demands at the best level.

The function was also graced by Jiribam MLA, Md. Ashab Uddin; Jiribam Municpal Council, Chairperson, Smt. S. Shanti Devi, Jiribam Municipal Council members and local residents of the area.

Later Forests & Environment and Horticulture & Soil Conservation Minister Th. Shyamkumar, visited the Ningshingkhul Biodiversity Park and horticulture farm at Bidyanagar. He planted litchi and cashew nut plants at the horticulture farm. (DIPR)
